Geranium Rozanne 2L
Geranium 'Rozanne' – Hardy Cranesbill
Geranium 'Rozanne' is an award-winning hardy perennial, prized for its masses of large purple-violet flowers with pale white centres and an exceptionally long flowering season. Unlike many hardy geraniums, 'Rozanne' provides continuous colour from early summer right through to the first frosts, making it an outstanding choice for borders, cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly planting schemes and containers.
Reaching around 40–60 cm in height with a spread of 60–90 cm, this vigorous, spreading perennial forms an attractive mound of deeply cut green foliage that weaves naturally through neighbouring plants. Its relaxed habit makes it ideal for softening the edges of borders, underplanting roses and shrubs, or spilling gracefully over walls and containers.
The striking blooms appear in abundance over many months and are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Its prolonged flowering season means it provides reliable colour when many other perennials have finished, making it a valuable addition to any garden.
This hardy perennial thrives in full sun or partial shade and grows well in most well-drained soils. Once established, it is easy to care for and benefits from an occasional trim in midsummer to encourage fresh foliage and an even stronger display of flowers.
Flowering Period
June: The first large purple-violet flowers begin to appear.
June – October: Continuous flowering with masses of vibrant blooms providing colour throughout summer and into autumn.
First frosts: Flowering comes to an end, while the attractive foliage continues to provide seasonal interest.
With its outstandingly long flowering period, beautiful purple blooms and easy-care nature, Geranium 'Rozanne' is an excellent choice for adding months of colour to borders, containers
and cottage-style gardens.
